Career History

Nick has 38+ years’ experience in operations and maintenance of HVAC and building systems. He began his career in the United States Air Force as a ground radio repair specialist. After leaving the Air Force he moved into the building automation controls industry for several years before becoming involved in facilities operations at UNO and later UNMC. He stayed at UNMC for over 30 years and was involved in every area of facility operations during that time. One of his greatest accomplishments during his tenure there was creating an entirely new building automation system tailored to the campus which was utilized for many years at UNMC.  He has extensive experience with commissioning and the operations of educational, research and healthcare facilities, as well as large central utility operations.  His primary expertise is in HVAC controls and building automation systems, during his career he has witnessed the introduction of many new technologies and methods in the HVAC industry.  His extensive facilities management experience gives him a unique perspective on these applications.  Nick works as a primary resource of expertise on control systems of all types.  In his free time Nick enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
