Career History

Mr. Nolan joined Optimized Systems in 2016 as an Energy Project Specialist, bringing 20 years of experience in skilled construction trades, including electrical, fire sprinkler systems and building automation systems (BAS). Tom’s primary responsibilities include oversight and implementation of many of the company’s building optimization projects, as well as BAS commissioning.  Tom has a particular ability to identify and resolve operational problems and deficiencies in BAS’ and other building systems. Prior to joining Optimized Systems, Tom served as an Automation Project Technician in the Strategic Energy Initiative Group of a major university medical center. During his nine-year tenure at the medical center, Tom designed, managed and commissioned numerous BAS projects in buildings of various types and complexity. In addition, Tom has six years’ experience as a licensed electrical journeyman on commercial construction projects, five years’ experience in fire sprinkler design, and several years of general construction experience.
